Spieth’s chip-in, Boo’s fishing shirt & McIlroy’s putter dilemma

This is how you take your lead back on the
final hole of the day. Annc: How about that. Annc: Oh yes! Annc: The leader alone for the third consecutive round. The winds made for a tough day on Saturday
at the Travelers Championship, but Spieth held onto his lead and is looking to
become the third solo, wire-to-wire winner here at the Travelers Championship. Spieth needed a little boost on 6 and he definitely
got it… The first-time Travelers Championship participant followed it up by stopping one on a dime on 7 for his second straight birdie. But this bunker shot might have been the most
important of his day. From the beach to inches! Annc: Just an amazing talent. That broke up a bogey train that had him slip
from the top spot for just a little bit. Boooooo! Boo Weekley went back-and-forth with the leader
all afternoon. It’s gotta be the shirt right? Annc: He has a fishing shirt on. I’ll guarantee he’s got some flies in that front pocket. Annc: Yeah, that’s Boo. At least he’s confident in his attire and his putter… Rory McIlroy was like a girl in a mall dressing
room on Saturday – he didn’t know what putter to use! He ultimately switched it up and went with
a new putter. There are 13 players within 6 shots of the
lead. You can say the leaderboard is a little backed
up… We had a bit of a traffic jam… Due to the split-tee start in three-somes
for the early morning storms, there were some waiting parties in attendance in Round 3. Party of 12 please! These putts are worth the wait though. In the lead group, Patrick Reed with a 25-footer
for birdie on 3! Daniel Berger from the same distance on 10… Annc: Ahh…very precise. But David Hearn had the putt of the day! 37-feet for eagle! Eagle On 15… Sometimes golf is hard though, Charley Hoffman had a little blooper on 11… Annc: Ooh, it’s going to come back, he’s going to loose yardage. Annc: He’s going to get to do it again. Spieth makes a bid for his second victory of the season and 10th of his career by the age of 24. But it’s anyone’s tournament! So make sure to catch all the action starting on PGA TOUR LIVE at 10am ET and I’ll see you Monday for Trending On TOUR.
