Munoz putter powers, Mickelson makes cut and Si Woo’s whomp, whomp

When you’ve made nearly 300 feet of putts
in 36-holes, 29 footers are no big thang… Sebastian Munoz with his second 36-hole lead
in his last three starts, hoping to take care of business this weekend here at the Greenbrier
Classic. The 24-year-old won on the Tour last
year on a sponsor invite at the Club Colombia Championship and earned his way onto the PGA
TOUR. The Colombian looking to take advantage of
an opportunity again this week. After a 61 on Thursday, the University of
North Texas product kept the flat stick hot with 5 birdies in his last 12 holes on Friday… 20 feet becoming his distance of choice in
Round 2. Unbelievable! You know what else is unreal, at 53 years old,
Davis Love III is tearing it up this week! He made the turn with this 34 footer on 18… Then was throwing darts on his second nine! No this is not the same shot, but looks just
as beautiful… Phil Mickelson almost jarred it on that same
hole! Lefty making the cut on the number at -1 in
his first week with his brother Tim on the bag. As we all know, golf can be a cruel game. 2017 PLAYERS Champion Si Woo Kim, well you
just had to feel for the guy on Friday… First Si Woo suffers this lip out on 11… Then has quite the battle with the hill on
12… Results to hitting lefty and that doesn’t
work out. Whomp, whomp. Ball in the bunker. Poor Si Woo! Maybe the golf gods will help you out on 14…. Gosh that’s just when you know you are having
one of those days… Phil Mickelson suffered his own lip-out on
14 … And Danny Lee, oh Danny Lee… When that happens you just have to chip in to save par right?! Now that is called a recovery folks. The Greenbrier Classic defending champ is
just 4-strokes off the pace. You can watch the CBS Simulcast where ever
you are this weekend on the PGA TOUR LIVE app beginning at 2:30pm ET. And I’ll see you Saturday night in The Takeaway.
