Hats off to Ken Duke for eagle on 14. Annc: Spins it right in there. Annc: In the hole! How bout that. Annc: Not afraid to celebrate. From Tiger Woods to San Antonio we had quite
the day on Thursday amidst the Valero Texas Open. And defending champ Charley Hoffman had himself
quite the adventure… Things were going great for Hoffman, with
2 birdies under his belt by the time he went after this incredible flop shot on 9. Annc: Can’t tell you how good that is. But then got himself into a sticky situation
a few holes later… literally. What’s in the bag Charley? Annc: He found it. He dropped a Reese’s peanut butter cup down his bag. Apparently the Easter Bunny left a little
treat. I don’t blame you Charley, I hide chocolate
in my golf bag too. The Hoffman adventures didn’t end there,
later he found himself between a rock and a hard place. Ah, the age old question: to stand on the
rock, or not to stand on the rock? But he wasn’t the only one with obstacles
in his way, Keegan Bradley found himself between two trees on 9… And Brooks Koepka was behind the cacti. Be careful Brooks! Golf is hard, but it’s even harder when
you are under the weather. Local Jimmy Walker revealed on Thursday that
he was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and has been battling flu-like symptoms since
November. And much like his health over the past season,
the Texan’s round Thursday was a bit of a roller coaster as well. But he did roll one in from nearly 20 feet
on 6 for birdie. Annc: There’s the result he was looking for. Gets himself back to even par. Speaking of a good roll. Zach Johnson backing one up for his approach
on 2. More news broke Thursday afternoon, when Tiger
Woods revealed in a statement on his website, that he had successfully undergone his fourth
back surgery since 2014. The Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion was performed
in efforts to relieve the pain he’s been experiencing in his back and leg. Recovery time is estimated at six months. And we wish him a speedy recovery. That will do it for Thurday’s edition of
The Takeaway, we invite you to tune in to PGA TOUR LIVE again Friday – coverage of
